As a lifelong fan of Jean "Moebius" Giraud, the brief for director Emily Dean's "The Very Pulse of the Machine" was a joy to receive. The stylized approach of the episode offered a unique and welcome challenge, and getting to work in a more vibrant and comic inspired palette was refreshing. I was tasked with creating dynamic designs that stood out visually from the vibrant surroundings but still felt grounded and functional, communicating the important story beats along the way. I’m really pleased with the final outcome, and grateful to Cantina, Blur and the entire production team for having me along to contribute to the Love, Death + Robots legacy.

The navigation screens present in the rover were not as needed as the rest of the designs, but nonetheless got the same care and attention to detail as the others.

The main helmet HUD required a number of overlapping functions, all which were important to highlight within the context of the story.

The wrist touch-pad was another main feature in the story. Clarity and functionality were top of mind, while keeping with the style and design of the other screens.
