Noir.1.1

The inspiration for the NOIR series comes from a combination of my love for cyberpunk, scifi and noir crime stories. A snapshot of a detective’s graphical user tabletop offered an opportunity to create some fun props scattered across the desk, mugshots for a gang of shady characters under investigation, and of course the tech Hardware & OS to bring it all together.

I’ve always loved these kinds of shots. A still life that tells a story, where you have to look at all the clues and try to discover the narrative for yourself. Dissecting every part and making it real, is for me, a tremendous amount of fun.

A number of props were created to scatter across the light-table. This piece of hardcopy contains bio-metric data from an old case file.

The suspects in the gang were all given their own backstories and character traits. Each member serves a specific purpose in the gang and their personality reflect their unique abilities.
